1. I'd like to use my copy of PhpED both on my workstation and on
the laptop. Is this allowed?
Yes, PhpED is licensed "per User". It means that you may install a single copy of PhpED on
more than one computer provided that you are the only individual to use it. If you plan to
provide some of the installed copies to be used by anybody else -- this is illegal with one
license. You have to purchase a license for each individual who will use product.
BTW we provide large discounts with volume orders.
2. What is the difference between PhpED Professional and PhpED Advantage?
The program itself has no difference. "Advantage" means extended support and upgrades period -
3 years instead of 1 included in Professional package. This also means that free upgrades to
new releases and all maintenance updates are available during 3 years for PhpED Advantage
instead of just one year for PhpED Professional.
3. What is the difference between PhpED Professional and PhpED Personal?
PhpED Personal is allowed for personal usage only, when you pay your peronal money and do no
get any reimbursement from any commercial entity. This license is not permitted to use in companies.
If you purchase PhpED to work for a company, only Professional and Advantage licenses are appropriate.
As of Personal license, there are some substantial limitations. We do not provide technical
support to customers who purchased this license other than during
14-days post-installation period. We may not distribute some stand-alone packages with Personal
PhpED, such as SSL-secured debugger modules and php bundles of fresh and outdated versions. Other
than this, there are no further differences with PhpED Professional. They both come with
exactly the same functionality and we provide free upgrades to new releases and all maintenance
updates during 1-year subscription period.
4. Is it possible to upgrade from Personal to Professional version?
Yes, you can upgrade to Professional or even Advantage at any time. However, it's
worth mentioning, that the total price of Persional version + upgrade is somewhat higher than
the price of Professional or Advantage version.
